Pour ce faire, les m\u00e9decins de famille et les autres professionnels de l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe de soins doivent, entre autres, r\u00e9pondre aux besoins de sant\u00e9 des particuliers et des populations qu&rsquo;ils desservent en tenant compte des effets que les d\u00e9terminants sociaux de la sant\u00e9 comme la pauvret\u00e9, la perte d&#8217;emploi, la culture, le genre et l&rsquo;itin\u00e9rance exercent sur la sant\u00e9. Il est essentiel de mettre l&rsquo;accent sur ces d\u00e9terminants de la sant\u00e9 \u00e0 caract\u00e8re non m\u00e9dical pour am\u00e9liorer la sant\u00e9 des patients, mais aussi celle de populations enti\u00e8res.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Le Coll\u00e8ge des m\u00e9decins de famille soutient fermement les efforts visant \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer les d\u00e9terminants sociaux de la sant\u00e9 de l\u2019ensemble de la population canadienne. C\u2019est une question de responsabilit\u00e9 sociale.
